Early morning ship tour

Our last day on the ship was a sea day as we sailed from Cozumel to Houston. As usual I was up on deck before sunrise, my favorite time of day . The moon would soon give way to the sun and be hidden from view by it's glare.

The Calypso bar under the MUTS screen is prepared for the day. It opens at 6 a.m to serve coffee for the earlybirds on deck.

It's at times like this that the pool water gets tested for purity (it's a fresh water pool) and cleaned by a robot that moves along the bottom.

The Neptune Pool seen from Tradewinds bar

Tradewinds bar on the upper deck. On the deck below is the Pizzeria and the Trident Grill where I get my hamburgers or knackwurst with fries. It's open from 11 am to 11 pm.

One of the benefits from being up so early is the lack of people on deck or in the public rooms so this is when I take photos without having to wait for people to get out of the shot. I visit some of the rooms I don't use while cruising.  There is a huge Spa forward (partly under the Sanctuary). This is where you go for a massage or a facial. You can have your hair styled too. It's all about pampering and relaxation and comes at a price for those that indulge.

There are lockers for your valuables while you are enjoying a treatment

Grab a towel if you are having a massage or using the Lotus Spa pool

It's a huge complex of rooms

If you have to sit and wait for your appointment there is ample seating

It's called the Lotus Spa and is often staffed by young ladies from the U.K.

As the name and the decor might suggest there is a Japanese theme to the spa

Next to the spa is the gym

The view from here is the top of the Bridge and the sea beyond

Aerobics area

The Spa and Gym  are found here....Deck 16

Elevators will take you there

You'll also find the Hearts and Minds Wedding Chapel there. Many couples get married on cruise ships.

The Wedding Chapel is also used for religious services
