Dinner and a live show

The last of the two Formal Nights on board features a "balloon drop" from the top of the Piazza. Balloons rain down on the dancers below and I imagine it's just as much fun as batting a balloon around the room when you were a child. Good, clean fun for all ages.

We are never in the Piazza when it happens as we are usually ending the night listening to Karaoke singers in Club Fusion. We can always blow up some balloons at home and bat them around until our cats puncture them, I suppose.

As I was taking the photo I was surprised to see Cindy, Alice and Daniel down below talking to two jugglers who were due to appear in the Princess Theater on our final evening. Daniel, besides his skills as a classical pianist is also a keen juggler and the entertainers were sharing some of their techniques with him.

Onwards to dinner in the MDR which for us was the Coral Dining room (one of 3 MDRs on board)

Beef Wellington is something I usually only see in French restaurants so when it appears on a Princess menu I have to have it!

Fish for Carol

After another excellent meal we move to the Princess Theater at the bow of the ship to see a live show.

This one of the small lobbies just outside the theater

The theater seats just 700 and the sight lines are not broken by pillars or obstructions

Seats have pull-out tray tables for drinks. Bar waiters circulate the room before the show

We usually sit near the back on the port side. The sound is loud and clear no matter where you sit.

Here's part of the show we saw that evening....(video)
