Munich Botanical Garden

On our last day in Europe, a sunny Sunday in Munich, we took advantage of the weather to visit the Botanical Gardens. We have a garden at home and love plants and flowers and had never visited the gardens before.

We took a tram from near our hotel. In 15 minutes, riding in a clean comfortable tram we arrived at our destination.

Now all we have to do is wander the pathways in a nice lazy fashion, enjoying the scents and the beauty of the flowers and plants. So quiet and relaxing here, surrounded by Nature's boundless variety.

Needless to say I don't know the names of even half of what I am seeing...luckily Carol does and there are identifying signs here and there.

In the distance is the cafeteria where one can get a nice hot lunch (bratwurst, schnitzel etc) and cold beer (definitely will have one of those!). The restrooms are here too.

We used the camera timer to take photos. Beautiful blue sky!

After a couple of hours, strolling these magnificent gardens and suitably refreshed with cold drinks it was time to head back to the center of Munich via the excellent tram service. Leave the car at the hotel!
