We waited for a table right by the water. Worth the short wait. The sun shone brightly on us.
Simple American bar food was brought forth and consumed. There would be no restaurants in Muir Woods. Named after John Muir who was historically important to the National Parks Service. Look him up in Wikipedia if you are interested in the Great Men who have gone before and in doing so have enriched our lives by their love of nature and places to escape the cities we find ourselves living in.
Next up- after an uphill drive on winding narrow country roads, is Muir Woods.
