Sea day

Our third day on the Ruby Princess was a sea day. No stops today. We had a lot of miles to eat up on our way to St. Maarten.

We had some distant company-an oil tanker

As sea days are lazy days with very little clock-watching we can take a leisurely breakfast in Sabatini's

My healthy start to the day was a Granola Parfait which tastes as good as it looks

Followed by French Toast and Maple Syrup with a lot of bacon.

On sea days with all the passengers on board Princess Cruise Staff arrange lots of entertainments.

Always popular is the fruit and vegetable carving where members of the kitchen team show us their skills...

This is one of those things that you CAN try at home!

Here's a video clip of our morning so far....

On sea days with Princess there is a treat for lunch- the British Pub Lunch which is served in the Wheelhouse Bar on deck 7. Some of the dishes you would find in a British Pub will be served.

A mild chicken curry

Cod and "chips" with mushy green peas

My favorite-Steak and Kidney pie with "chips" and a pint of Guinness

When there are two sea days the menu changes on the second day

Pub Lunch is very popular and as it is only available from 11.30 to 2 pm there may be a line to get in.
The service is very fast though and the tables turn quickly.

Here's a video clip....
