Into Muir Woods
Muir Woods is only 12 miles from San Francisco so it's a very easy excursion. The tallest Redwood tree is 258 ft. I climbed it but of course was unable to operate the camcorder at the same time as I was drinking a Guinness on the way up. Thirsty work-but so glad I did it. The oldest tree there is apparently 1200 years old but they are all so wrinkly that it's hard to tell which one it is.
