Here are some photos I shot through the bus window on the drive to Positano.
Back into Sorrento again and out the other side. Now we are on the Amalfi Coast road.
Now we are in Positano and off the coast road, winding our way down the side of the steep, terraced cliffs
We had to leave the bus in a garage high above the beach and follow Maria for maybe a quarter mile, all of it steeply downhill. We didn't know what restaurant we would be eating at. The name wouldn't have meant anything to us anyway. We just followed Maria.
Now I was able to take photos standing still on the narrow streets of Positano.
This poster really captures the colorful beauty of the town, clinging to the steep cliffs
This festival was happening just the next day but we would be in Rome by then
All of the shops lining the street down to the beach were colorful, clean and inviting.
The shopkeepers were very friendly and not pushy.
Here's a store selling a wonderful drink-Limoncello.
When we got to this point I realized we must be close to the restaurant as we had run out of land and were almost in the sea.
Yes, we are here. The restaurant is on our right- Covo dei Saraceni
Let's eat!!
